One Lambda Prepares for HLA Nomenclature Format Changes
In April 2010, the WHO Nomenclature Committee for Factors of the HLA System officially published the HLA nomenclature in a colon delimited (:) format. In anticipation of this potentially complicated transition from the current nomenclature format (version 2 or "v2") to the new colon-delimited format (version 3 or "v3"), we've been working to make the transition smoother for everyone. |
Software Changes
HLA Fusion™ Software Version 2.0
HLA Fusion™ 2.0 will be available May 2010. The new release will support analysis and reporting of test results both in v2 and v3 formats. Analysis format is based on the catalog (.cat) file format applied. Find more details in Support for New and Old Nomenclature in HLA Fusion™ 2.0.
Software support for LABScreen® PRA, LABType® SSO, Lambda Scan™, LMT™/DNA, and LAT™/LCT™ will continue, but will be affected in the following ways:
- HLA nomenclature format version 2: Support will continue
- Lot-specific documents and software catalog files: Updates will discontinue with the release of the July 2010 nomenclature update
- Software: May only be used for One Lambda lots based on the January 2010 nomenclature update
- Changes to be made by September 2010:
- LMT™/DNA will be changed to LMT™ software and will only provide analysis of serological typing trays.
- The SSP module will be removed from Lambda Scan™.
- Users of this software must use HLA Fusion™ 2.0 for SSP analysis.
