A Conversation on Allyship & Anti-Racism
In a recent discussion with Carrie Sawyer, founder and CEO of Diversity by Design and the Inclusion 1st Project, we explored the topic of anti-racism from the perspective of allyship. In this interactive and nonjudgmental forum, Carrie answered common questions on racism and offered insight on how we—as leaders in transplantation, in our business, and in our communities—can be better allies to those around us who face bias and injustice.

How Leaders Employ Work-Life Balance to Succeed
For many of us, the COVID-19 pandemic has introduced drastic changes to our working lives. Some are faced with adapting to new health and safety restrictions while trying to socially distance from their colleagues in the office or lab. Others are adjusting to the challenges working remotely while juggling family obligations and feeling isolated from friends and coworkers. Four of our site’s leaders joined us for a discussion on the topic of work-life balance, to share their strategies for adjusting to these new working conditions, philosophies on setting healthy work-life boundaries, and empathy for colleagues who are learning and growing during this tough time.
