LABScreen™

Bead-based Multiplexing Assay for PRA Screening

LABScreen reagents are powered by Luminex® xMAP® technology, a microbead platform used to deliver multiplex antibody assays in high-PRA patients. This single antigen-bead based assay allows for a precise determination of antibody profiles against HLA, MICA or HNA. The proven reliability of LABScreen’s consistency, high sensitivity and robustness for PRA screening has gained rapid momentum in the transplant community.

How does LABScreen work?

LABScreen products use a panel of colorcoded microbeads, coated with purified HLA antigens. Up to 100 different beads can be combined in one suspension in a single test. Serum is incubated with LABScreen beads. Any HLA antibodies in the serum bind to the antigens and are labeled with PE-conjugated goat anti-human IgG. The LABScan™ 100 or LABScan3D™ detect fluorescent emission of PE from each bead, allowing nearly real-time data acquisition.
